About the Competition

The Global Canvas Masterpiece Challenge 2024 was one of the premier international art contests of the year, bringing together thousands of contemporary artists from over 85 countries. Organised by the International Fine Arts Council, the competition aimed to highlight innovative techniques and diverse cultural narratives in painting.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to all artists aged 18 and above, regardless of nationality.
  • Submissions must be original oil, acrylic, or watercolor paintings.
  • Digital art and prints were excluded from this category.

Participation Details

Artists submitted high-resolution digital scans of their work along with an artist statement. The registration fee was set at $25 (approx. ₹2,000) per entry, with a limit of two entries per artist. Submissions closed on September 30, 2024, and the final grand prize of $10,000 was awarded in November 2024 to a breathtaking landscape painting depicting climate change.
