Celebrating Karnataka Art Heritage

The Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bengaluru held its annual awards in December 2023. The competition focuses on traditional Indian styles as well as modern abstract interpretations by Karnataka-based artists.

Eligibility & Submissions

• Applicants must be residents of Karnataka for at least five years.
• Special student category for Fine Arts colleges across the state.

Summary

The jury evaluated over 800 entries before selecting 8 awardees. Each award winner received a cash prize of ₹50,000 and a certificate of merit during the Chitra Santhe festival in Bangalore.
