The state-level championship for Kerala Mural Art was held in August 2023 in Cochin. The event celebrates the classical mural traditions of South India, showcasing five-color palettes and mythological motifs.

Eligibility & Mediums

• Open to traditional mural artists and students from Kerala.
• Artists must use traditional guidelines (Panchavarna colors: yellow, red, green, black, white).

Outcome

The physical competition involved live painting on canvas over three days, and winners were awarded cash prizes by the state cultural department.
