The New York Abstract Expressionism Open 2024 invited contemporary painters to submit large-scale abstract compositions. The competition celebrates non-representational works, texture experimentation, and raw color fields.

Eligibility

  • Open to abstract painters worldwide aged 21 and above.
  • Paintings must be at least 100cm wide.

Submission

Artists submitted high-resolution images online with a $35 entry fee. The final physical showcase took place in Manhattan in April 2024, with the first prize winner securing a solo gallery representation.
