With more than a decade in the capital, Abid has modestly carved a niche for himself, in the capital's art scenario bringing to walls some of his finest works either through the lens or through the colours. 

An exceptionally talented photographer, a dedicated teacher in Dept. of Art Education at one of the best art universities in India, and a skillful artist, Delhi-based Abid Ali Khan, has also been the recipient of the 2018 Senior Fellowship in Photography by the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.

Abid says his mother is his biggest inspiration, who always has and continues to inspire him to keep experimenting and practicing.

Abid has traveled widely all across the hilly terrains of North India where the hills and their foggy silence speak to him in volumes which he translates into hues and textures on his canvas.

Abid's narratives are a quintessence embodiment of textures and flat color planes. The artist employs myriad elements like rollers, brushes, knives, and innumerable other items to build up layers onto the canvas surface.

What apparently seems to have been achieved in seconds is the fruition of years of toiling and mastery, a practice that the young artist continues diligently. Always eager to learn and incorporate new methods and ideas in his executions, Abid shows promise toward a bright and engaging future.
