Healing power of colours in Rajesh Rawat’s paintings

Colours seem to have an impact on people’s minds, moods and emotions. Colours have temperatures and an interplay between warm and cool shades creates numerous kinds of experiences. Rajesh Rawat seems to have a mastery over this and has depicted subjects through the skilful use of colours. He first creates his drawings as a new beginning to a futuristic point of view and then adds depth through colours. His artworks show his intense passion and the values he believes in, that have drawn attention of art connoisseurs and art lovers towards them. Moreover the compositions, backgrounds, modulated hues, relaxed brushwork as well as experiment with shapes and forms used in his paintings have bold as well as muted contrasts that create spectral energy of its own kind that move your soul.

He was born on 1st June 1981 in the land of Gods –Uttarakhand, the land renowned for its scenic beauty and rich cultural heritage of customs and traditions. Thus, having felt the need to study aesthetics, art and culture in detail,  he later on went to do his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in ‘Art Education’ from Jamia Millia Islamia University in New Delhi. During his Bachelor’s degree he was a Gold Medallist and soon due to his diligence and hard work, he earned his place among the leading contemporary artists of his time. 

Having realised his deep relationship with colours, he feels responsible for taking art to the next generation and hence he teaches art in a reputed school of Delhi. Teaching is not just an occupation for him but it is something that is very close to his heart. Being a soulful artist by temperament and also philanthropist, he sees enormous possibilities in the field of art and has made the mission of his life to take art to everyone.
