RECOGNITION

Artist featured in a collection

As an artist, I take advantage of the mobility of oil ─ and the acrylic for that matter ─ as a means to recreate an elaborate flow of emotions in my work. Every color is carefully chosen not to be merely beautiful, but to evoke certain feelings and create a specific mood. It’s an instinctive way of working; the canvas is the final frontier where no one can speak a word but color itself. I treat each of the artworks, with the conviction that, ‘all the words are not adequate to describe color’ and therefore seek every possible means of seizing, capturing or embracing time or concept for that matter.

I try to engage the viewer in feelings resonating with even the most dubious landscape whether it is sun-kissed, moon flooded or bustling over with the energy of city. It is the oil and acrylic, two versatile mediums that grant me the freedom to control texture and depth whereby all sorts of intricacies can be embedded within the surface of my paintings. Because of that, the interaction of wide vigorous strokes and finely worked out details, where each one adds something to the story of the work, is possible.

As an artist, it is a constant search for new things, and with each new work, I recall what I have learned from the previous one. I seek to advance what color can do, to allow the viewers to experience a moment outside time and space that is trapped in color and paint: mood, emotions, a moment frozen. My artworks, which are representations of the coexistence of form, color, and emotion are created as if they are verbally speaking and using language that’s raw: the interplay between the three is felt and perceived as an avant-garde art piece whoch words cannot express.
